Racer Boot Camp
Racer boot camps are targeted towards the racer, or aspiring racer. These camps can be for kids or adults. These can be one on one, or in small groups. Students have the option of doing strictly dirt training, paved course training, or a combination of both.
These camps are all about dedication, drive, passion, accountability, listening, and pure grit.
Racing is not for the weak both physically and mentally. To succeed in racing at any level, especially at the pro level it takes a lot of work. These camps are designed to help prepare a rider both on the bike and off the bike mentally and physically and push you to your limits and beyond.
Every rider has such different goals, abilities, wants, needs, and ways of learning. After filling out our intake form providing basic information, Hawk will come up with a curriculum based on your goals, or your group's goals. These racer camps can be anywhere from a day to a week.
An example of a day of at a racer camp might look something like this:
8am stretch, yoga flow
9am morning moto session 1 and drills
11am classroom, debrief, whiteboard, watch GoPro footage
11:30am moto session 2
12:30pm lunch and debrief
1:30pm workout swim, visual training, elliptical, balance, boxing, etc.
2:30pm moto 3 very focussed drills
Hawk is very hands-on with his students, riding alongside them for the majority of a lesson. Part of the tuition Hawk films with GoPro, as well as capturing still pictures. This footage is used throughout a lesson to study, as well as sent with students to have and enjoy. Another huge teaching tool is the opportunity to use one of our KYT helmets with Cardo radios installed allowing for live communication with Hawk while riding is also part of the tuition. Most of a lesson is spent riding motorcycles, and very limited time (in the classroom).
